2002 |
The CD Soundtrack Highlights from the musical Power in His Touch was released, featuring 11 songs from the musical. The first song on the album, "Good Tidings" earned the coveted 2002 Pearl Award for "Best New Holiday Song." |
2003 |
While the full musical was still in development, a shorter version of the story was presented in Laie, Hawaii to an audience of over 2,000 for BYU-Hawaii’s Christmas Lighting Ceremony. |
2004 |
A staged reading of Power in His Touch was performed at the Salt Lake City Library in July with Alex Boye featured as one of the leads. |
2005 |
The full musical Power In His Touch premiered to sold out audiences in the Jeanne Wagner theatre at the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center in Salt Lake City. The production was directed by Tracy Ann Evans, with Colette Call as musical director, and featured David Osmond, Katrina Nelson, Daniel Beck and a cast of 40 local performers. The critics were glowing in their reviews of the show (See reviews). |
2006 |
Power in His Touch returned to the Jeanne Wagner Theatre in Salt Lake City, directed by David Nieman, with Colette Call as musical director. Many of the 2005 cast members, including Osmond, Nelson and Beck, reprised their roles. |
2006 |
By invitation, a private performance of Power In His Touch was presented at the LDS Conference Center Theatre in Salt Lake City for some LDS General Authorities and their families. |
2008 |
Power in His Touch was again staged in Salt Lake City, this time at Cottonwood High School to allow more room for a growing fan base. The show was directed by renowned tenor, George Dyer, with Colette Call as musical director. Broadway performers Jessie Clark Funk and Casey Elliott were featured in the leads with a cast of 75. Daniel Beck reprised his role as the Savior. |
2009 |
Horrocks Family Productions brought Power in His Touch to Pocatello, Idaho. The show was staged at the Jensen Concert Hall of the Stephens Performing Arts Center at Idaho State University, with Dan Horrocks as director. |
2010 |
Back by popular demand, Power in His Touch will be presented at the Peery Egyptian Theatre in Ogden and the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center in Salt Lake City. Carolyn Stevens (Director) and Gary Sorensen (Musical Director) are working with a phenomenal production team and cast of more than 50 talented performers. Tickets are on sale now! |
